I'd pay a premium for products manufactured in the US.
Products might be more expensive, but there would be more Americans employed. As much are there is a downside to producing here, there is also an upside.
Apple's only business is not the US and as things stand right now, people say that a 499 iPad is too expensive. Imagine what it would cost if they didn't manufacture these devices overseas.

And half of the android users believe they have an iphone.

Ehh, purposeful or not (as a sabotage)...not good news for iPad competition:( Which isnt good news for us iPad users...Apple needs constant pressure to release revolutionary products.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this so far, but to me it is very obvious the reason why some features will be free.
The iChat and a/v integration on the next iphone.
Obviously iChat needs either a mobile me email address, or an AIM username, or some other less common ones.
Needless to say, AIM is not very popular outside of USA. Everyone uses hotmail or gmail afaik.
If they really want to plug the new iChat, they need to get as many people using it as possible, so therefore the @me email addresses will probably become free, and maybe more features with it
Yep I mentioned this already! ;-)
makes sense to me, why send people to aim just to get iChat working on iPhoneHD!

What if you have or want to re-format your Mac? I hope Apple would also give you a utility that will package the OS into a bootable installer that you can copy to a USB flash drive. Or maybe that is what you would be downloading, just an image to be copied to a DVD/USB drive as I doubt you could install the OS like an app would (download, pop up in the dock, done).
I guess we will see how things go when Apple release it.

2010 - Apple Loses #1 Mobile OS spot to Android OS
2011 - Apple pisses off their JB customers and loses 10% more
2012 - Apple loses #2 and #3 spot to Windows Mobile & HP OS
Within 12 months Apple will own the same market share as their computers, 9% ... and it'll have been the same story: rose to glory, abuse the customer and business partners, people get sick of the rulebook and leave for more open pastures.
This is all deja vu from the 80s repeating itself, wow.
I dumped iPhone at xmas, now I'll likely dump iPad 2 if this trend continues. If they really push the washington involvement to stop jailbreaking, I'll get rid of my 3 iMac\MB Air\MB Pro... I don't support companies who attack me. They're here because of me, not the opposite. If they don't get that, adios.
HAHAHAH! Please, be my quest. There aren't enough people with similar thinking to even register on Apple's "oh no" list. They'll continue to grow and put out product after product that will dominate the market. The difference between the 80's and now is the "cool" appeal. People HAVE to have that new Apple product.

Why couldnt you let it slide? Assuming you dont like people imposing their beliefs on you, why would you impose yours on others? I think theres a word for that.
Well considering less than 15% of Japanese are religious at all, you have to wonder who benefits from the prayers. Just the 15% who believe in that stuff? All of them? The person doing the praying? Things that make you go "hmmmm".

Silence is acquiescence, very well stated by Pastor Martin Niemller:
First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

I don't disregard comments that try to push a particular view on spirituality, gender identity/expression, or other personal and civil rights issues. Sometimes the comments are appropriate, but other times they are not. In my opinion if they're not, I'll say so.
If someone is trying to push their views on you, by all means, speak out against it.
But if they are simply saying something along the lines of "keep the Japanese in your thoughts", I see no need to comment on it.
I understand he used the word prayers, which is indicative of religion, but I think it's more along the lines of taking what he means from it, not necessarily what he says.

You complain about "imposing beliefs", but asking people to "say a prayer" on the forum is certainly pushing one's beliefs on others. I suggested "best wishes" and "keeping them in your thoughts" as an alternative that doesn't involve supernatural beings.
And, by the way, the "flying spaghetti monster" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster) is part of a well-known movement (sometimes called the "Pastafarians") to preserve the concept of "separation of church and state" embodied in the US Constitution.
If you ever see the FSM emblem
http://www.evolvefish.com/fish/media/E-FlyingSpaghettiEmblem.gif
on the car in front of you, you're behind a Pastafarian.
You're missing the point. No one got bitter until you came in and knocked him for encouraging people to pray for Japan. Prayer can be whatever you want it to be. You can either pray to God or simply give your best wishes as you said. There was absolutely no need for your out of the blue post blasting him for asking people to pray. Atheists love to point towards the religious as being the pushy ones, but time and time again I've noticed it's the atheists who take things personally and get bitter. I myself don't really give a damn what anyone says, I'm moreso of a Deist than a mainstream Christian. Both sides of the aisle can get extremely childish, like your post mocking prayer. It served no other purpose than to try and insult him and anyone else who believes in God.

There are phone models that run some variant of Android from ultra-cheap to ultra-high-end. That clearly makes Android-based phones applicable to a wider audience. But what's more is that some manufacturers have developed their own operating systems based on Android source code without the Google services -- basically using Google's code as their own jumpstart. All these phones are counted as "Android" -- the sheer size of the umbrella that is known as "Android" clearly makes this the new defacto standard for any manufacturer other than Apple, Nokia or HP.
The problem with these statistics is that they make the assumption that there is an "Android Experience" and an "iOS Experience" -- this is hardly the case since the Android experience is varied, and Google does not benefit from every Android device sale, where Apple does benefit from every iOS device sale.
Certainly, one can cite the fact that every manufacturer puts their own spin on "Android" and they run a specific version with a specific UI overlay and they have a specific set of supported resolutions with a specific set of apps that will work for that device (hardly the Microsoft Windows scenario of the 1990s). These manufacturers will likely be falling in line with Google's new rules with regards to timely access to the latest Android version and will continue to produce good and better phones with less-varied experiences.
But looking further than that, Android (pre-Honeycomb) is open source and many have taken the opportunity to force Google completely out of the Android equation.

Seeing as how the iPad 2 didn't get retina display, I doubt iMacs will.
Imagine the cost of that!!
People will be more willing to pay more for a desktop/laptop than a tablet.

I'm also betting that the macbook pro and macbook both get core 2 duo chips, with MBP getting faster ones with 4MB L2 cache, and MB getting slower ones with lower L2 cache.
i agree, this will set them the mb and mbp apart well
Although i still think the macbook will use core duo for a while to come with for now if the mbp's get merom, the mb will have the clock speeds of the current mbp's (2.0 and 2.16) when the new mbp is released,
But most of all i want conroe in the iMac

The rack mount format is just for that: to mount in a standard 19" rack, along with other equipment and even a rack-mount UPS. That's not the realm of a Mac Pro. It's the realm of servers. I like the current, and brilliant, case design very much. It's an example of form follows function and great industrial design.
I know many professional situations where a Mac Pro would be ideal as a rack mountable unit.
Recording studio, on location video production (DIT), and studio based post-production rigs, basically places where other equipment is racked, may need to be secured, cooled, power conditioned, or in mobile racks. Rack mounting in not only for servers.
Having said that, I love the current Mac Pro towers, brilliant industrial design both inside and outside, unlike the G5 Quad 2.5.

And there's been exactly 0% of Operating Systems sold on the app store. And 0% of stories that downloading Lion will be excactly like downloading every other app on the app store.
0% Operating Systems in the app store, yet somehow you know exactly how their going to change their politicly on both app store sales and general OS sales, while no one else has any hint that they're be any changes at all.
what else can you see in that crystal ball of yours?
